Texas Rangers visited Vita-Poshtova
03-09-2015It is intended to form united CORR (Corps of Operational Rapid Reaction) within the framework of the reformation of home internal affairs agencies instead of the numerous special subdivisions. The staff will be trained by means of foreign specialists and in a separate base. In order to estimate possibilities of the Special and Physical Training Center of the NAIA, the academy was visited by a delegation of future instructors – representatives of the Texas Rangers Special Operations Group headed by the commander Major Geoffrey Robertson.
Rangers are an official law enforcement agency with statewide jurisdiction in Texas executing functions for maintenance of public peace and counteraction to criminality. Their special division acts in riot control, detention of dangerous special and armed criminals and hostage extraction, in other words they are multi-specialized. The accumulation of experience facilitates both specialization and universalization in preparation of fighters, helps (if necessary) their replaceability.
The guests from Texas were met by the head of the Special and Physical Training Center Colonel of militia Yevhen Durnov, which familiarized American representatives with the history of creation and activity, educational and material base, housing conditions of cadets. Rangers visited educational and sporting buildings, shooting gallery and messing facility, and also construction site, where at a quick rate housing accommodations and drill halls are built for future fighters of CORR. Major Robertson and his colleagues positively estimated the possibilities of the Center and assured the Ukrainian side of the willingness to join creation and training of the special subdivision of new home police.
