Representatives of the National Academy of Internal Affairs participated in a regional seminar on combating cybercrime
19-09-2025On September 17–19, a regional seminar «Strategy and Practice of Training Law Enforcement Officers, Prosecutors and Judges on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence» was held in Lviv, organized within the framework of the CyberEast+ project with the support of the Council of Europe and the European Union.
The event brought together representatives of the Prosecutors’ Training Center of Ukraine, the judicial corps, the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, the Academy of Financial Monitoring, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, and the State Bureau of Investigation. The National Academy of Internal Affairs was represented by the Head of the Analytical Department (Criminal Analytics Center) Dmytro Ovsianyuk, Head of the Department of Forensic Science and Medicine Andriy Antoshchuk, and Associate Professor of the Department of Operational-Investigative Activities and National Security Oleksandr Lisovol.
Representatives of the National Agency of Internal Affairs participated in the discussion and development of the draft Training and Development Strategy for prosecutors, investigators and judges on the collection and use of electronic evidence in criminal proceedings.
The seminar participants identified five key areas for further work on the Strategy: analysis of the current state; development of a competency model; formation of approaches to comprehensive unified training; coordination of institutional interaction; creation of the first draft of the document.
The Strategy is designed to improve the skills of representatives of law enforcement agencies, prosecutors and judges and other institutions in the field of combating cybercrime and working with electronic evidence.
