Open fire training classes with candidates for participation in international peacekeeping and security operations
17-07-2020On the 16th day at the basic scientific institute № 1 of the NAIA (v. Vita-Poshtova), a list of candidates for participation in international operations for peace and safety was presented. One of the components of the exam was to check the level of fire training, which took place in the shooting range of the institute. Candidate for the position of lecturer at the Department of Fire Training of the Academy, Candidate of Law, Captain of Police Yurii Oliinyk held an open lesson with participants who did not pass the preliminary selection for fire training.
The class was attended by the Head of the Department of Fire Training of the NAIA, Police Colonel Serhii Rusanivskyi, associate professor of the department Serhii Maksymov and candidate of legal sciences, senior lecturer of this department, major of police Oleksii Fedchenko. The open lesson included three stages: briefings, testing in the theoretical section of fire training (material part of the weapon, safety measures when handling weapons, use of weapons) and practical exercises in firing a pistol of "Fort-12" model.
According to the Instruction on safety measures when handling weapons, approved by the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine № 70 dated on 01.02.2016, before performing practical exercises in pistol shooting, instruction, followed by practical use of weapons, was conducted.
In addition, candidates for participation in international peacekeeping and security operations discussed the most pressing issues arising in the field of usage of weapons during their service.
The class was conducted at the appropriate professional level. The tasks of the training were achieved, which meets the requirements for the position of fire training teacher.
