On February 5, the National Academy of the Interior visited the European Union Agency for the Training of Law Enforcement Agents (CEPOL), which included the Executive Director Detlef Schröder and trainer/teacher Rima Narkeviciene. The event was held on the eve of the signing of the Working Agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and CEPOL.

A working meeting was held with the participation of the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Department for the Personnel, Organization of Educational and Scientific Activity and the Department of the International Cooperation and European Integration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The rector of the Academy, police general of the second rank Volodymyr Cherniei, spoke about the activities of the NAIA, innovations and introduction of modern specializations in the educational process. The Ukrainian side confirmed its readiness to cooperate with foreign partners and offered to conduct trainings, internships and other events with the participation of MIA scientists, pedagogical staff of Ukrainian HEI and European colleagues.

Foreign guests got acquainted with the tactical landfills "Hall for court sessions" and "Center of polygraphic researches", and also visited the Museum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

At the conclusion, the parties agreed to establish and strengthen cooperation with the profile education institutions of the European member countries of CEPOL, which will contribute to the implementation of the best European experience in police training, retraining and professional development.
